A Game Changer for Executive Education

Consultant_Partnership-1
The following is a guest blog post from Dr. Roy Hinton, Associate Dean of Executive Education Programs at George Mason University's School of Management.

There was a great story yesterday in Bisnow, titled, "Exec Ed Gets a Tech Makeover."  The story nailed it.  The same way that 9Lenses helps businesses identify strengths and weaknesses rapidly, and the way it automates the discovery of strategy and insights, makes 9Lenses a "game changing" application for executive education programs like ours at GMU.

You can read the story in Bisnow, or you can read this article in the Washington Post, to hear more about the partnership between GMU and 9Lenses.

But I wanted to write this guest blog post on the 9Lenses blog to offer a quick explanation of how and why we're using 9Lenses at GMU.

When a business comes to George Mason for executive education, they are not looking for a standardized, out-of-the-box curriculum for their executives, managers, and employees.  They're looking for a unique educational program that is customized and personalized specifically for the executives and managers of their company.

In the past, executive education programs have been designed largely on the basis of slow interviews, and intuition.  9Lenses makes it possible to completely turn this model on its head.  The 9Lenses social discovery application let's us rapidly diagnose the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities that should be the focus of an executive education program.  This is an exciting change for executive education, because it moves us from design based on intuition, to design based on data.

The results so far have been outstanding, and we look forward to an exciting partnership ahead.

Also, in the coming weeks we will be hosting an exclusive webinar highlighting results and methodology of GMU's partnership with 9Lenses.

Webinar: What is Insight-as-a-Service Software?

Insight-as-a-Service apps are essential for any business leaders who want to make "data-driven decisions" for their companies.

According to Evangelos Simoudis, who coined the term Insight-as-a-Service, and who will be the special guest on the upcoming 9Lenses webinar this Thursday at 12:30, "Insight as a Service refers to action-oriented, analytic-driven solutions that operate on data generated by SaaS applications, proprietary corporate data, as well as syndicated and open source data and are delivered over the cloud."

This is an exciting topic, because it enables CEOs and other business leaders to tap into value that would otherwise go to waste, to make strategy automation a reality, and to drive increased performance for their companies.

You should join us for our webinar on Thursday at 12:30, where Evangelos Simoudis will explore this topic with Edwin Miller, founder and CEO of 9Lenses, the leading provider of strategy automation software.
